India’s World Cup hero and finest all rounder Yuvraj Singh who is battling with tumor is now said to be undergoing chemotherapy in the United States after being diagnosed with cancer.

“He is suffering from cancer and this is the first stage. It’s curable and he will be fit to play in May. He will be back on the field very soon,” his physiotherapist Jatin Chaudhary told TOI.

As soon as this news came, cricket fans all over India started to pray for the dashing left hand batsmen. People from all spheres of life be it politicians or sportstars wished him speedy recovery.

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah wished him ono his twitter account, “Here’s wishing Yuvraj Singh a speedy and complete recovery.”

Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi twitted “Sad to hear about ill-health of Yuvraj Singh. He is a fighter and I am sure he’ll come out of it very soon and play again for India.”

Tennis player Rohan Bopanna said “Wishing Yuvraj Singh a speedy recovery, all our prayers and good wishes are with him.”

S Sreesanth said, “It’s sad to hear Yuvraj’s ailment. Health is very important and I wish him very speedy recovery.”

Sports Minister Ajay Maken has come out in support of Yuvraj Singh, who is undergoing cancer treatment in the United States.

Sport’s minister Maken said that Indian government will help Yuvraj as much as possible. He tweeted “Wish Yuvraj a speedy recovery! Asking officials to find the quantum and nature of help required. Government shld & will help him.”

Yuvraj’s father Yograj Singh said “Yuvi is a ’sher’ and all I can say is that he will make a comeback.”

Cricketer Yuvraj Singh has topped the list of highest tax payers of the non-corporate tax category in Chandigarh. For the assessment year of 2012-2013, Yuvraj Singh paid an advance tax of Rs.1.75 crore. The payment made by Yuvraj Singh this year is 84% more as compared to Rs 95 lakh in 2010.

After that Bangladeshi’s were able to made just 283 runs and lose 9 wickets in 50 overs. India wins this match by 87 runs. Yuvi in his average bowling spell of 7 overs gave 42 runs without taking any wicket.

INDIA vs ENGLAND: After a week of beating Bangladesh on their home ground Indian team was ready take up against the English men.. In the crucial match played at Bangluru English team safely played for tie. After winning the toss India’s super cool head Mahinder Singh Dhoni elected to bat. Indian side was not able to play complete 50 overs and was bowled out at 338 runs in 49.5 overs. In the innings of 338 runs Yuvraj contributed valuable 58 runs after playing just 50 balls. INDIA vs SOUTH-AFRICA: After beating Ireland very badly in the previous game ‘Men in Blue’ were in Nagpur to face the South-African team. After winning the toss Mahi decided to bat first. Indian team with help of Master Blaster Sachin’s knock of 111 runs in just 101 balls was able to set a target of 297 for the opposition. Indians were bowled out in just 48.4 overs with 296 runs on the score board. Except the top 3 batmen of the batting order the entire Indian batsmen including Yuvraj were having difficulty to face the African bowler. Yuvraj Singh’s contribution was of just 12 runs in 9 balls in total of 296 runs. Africans were able to achieve the target in this very tight match with just 2 balls remaining and 3 wickets in hand. So SA wins this match by 3 wickets. It seems to be really bad day for Yuvraj Singh; he was not good with the ball too. He balled 8 overs and gave 47 runs without taking any wicket.

INDIA vs WEST-INDIES: In the final league match of the WC 2011 Indians played against the Caribbean team in Chennai. India wins the toss and elected to bat first. Batting first India set a total of 268 runs before they were bowled out in 49.1 overs. This was the third time in the tournament when Indian batting line up was not able to play complete 50 overs in the match. Yuvraj played a tremendous knock of 113 runs in just 123 balls before he was bowled out by Pollard. Yuvi’s knock helped India to set a fighting total of 268. INDIA vs AUSTRALIA: After beating the West-Indies in the last league match Indians were in the Motera, Ahmadabad to play the Quarter Final against defending champion Australia. Australian captain after winning the Toss decided to bat first. Batting first Australians were able to set a total of 260 runs after losing 6 wickets in 50 overs. Australian captain after a long period of almost a year was able to come in charge and score a hundred. Yuvraj bowled his 10 overs and take 2 wickets and gave just 44 runs. INDIA vs PAKISTAN: Indian team after packing back the defending champions in Quarter Final, it was art rival Pakistan’s turn in Semi Final match in PCA stadium, Mohali. India’s captain cool after winning the toss in such a high tension match decided to bat first. Batting first India put a total of 260 runs on the score board with 1 wicket remaining in hand. Yuvraj was bowled at the duck by Wahab Riaz. Pakistani batting order was not able to handle the intense pressure and was crashed out at the total of 231 runs in 49.5 overs. India won the match by 29 runs and made to the final of the CWC-2011. Yuvi played very important role in destroying the Pakistani batting line up. He took 2 important wickets of Yusuf Khan and Asad Shafiq and gave just 57 runs in 10 wickets.

INDIA vs SRI-LANKA: It was the final game of the tournament in which the two sub-continent nations have to face each other in the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. Lankan skipper Kumar Sangakkara after winning the toss decided to bat first. Sri-Lankan team batting first set a total of 274 runs for the lost of 6 wickets in 50 overs. Yuvi in his 10 over spell took 2 important wickets and gave just 49 runs. In reply India after loses the wicket of the opening batsman Virender Shewag in very first over. After that with the help of crucial innings played by Gautam and MS Dhoni and in the supporting innings played by Yuvi with MS made India to achieve the target. Yuvi playing his innings responsibly made 21 runs in 24 balls and remained not out.
